White Agate
Physical Information
White Agate is a form of chalcedony, a fine-grained variety of quartz. It forms in cavities in volcanic rock, where silica-rich water slowly leaves thin layers behind. The result is a milky white, cream or softly translucent stone. Some pieces show gentle bands, while others look almost plain and creamy.
White Agate is hard and durable (about 6.5–7 on the Mohs scale) and takes a soft, satin-like polish. It is found in many countries, including Brazil and India. It needs very little care: simply rinse it with water and dry it with a soft cloth.

White Agate is known as a stone of peace and gentle protection. Its soft colour is believed to calm the mind and bring a feeling of lightness and order. Many people use it when life feels busy or noisy and they want to slow down.
