Rhodonite
Physical Information
Rhodonite is a manganese silicate mineral. It is pink to rose-red, usually with black veins or patches of manganese oxide. This contrast of pink and black gives each piece its own pattern. Transparent crystals are rare; most rhodonite is opaque and is used for tumbled stones, carvings and beads.
Rhodonite forms in metamorphic rocks rich in manganese. Well-known sources include Russia, Australia, Madagascar, Brazil and the United States. It has a hardness of about 5.5–6.5. Clean it with a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals.

Rhodonite is known as a stone of compassion. It is associated with emotional healing, forgiveness and self-love. It is believed to help calm strong feelings, soften old hurts and bring more understanding into relationships. Many people turn to it after a difficult time, when they want to find balance again.
It is associated with the heart chakra. Its pink colour is linked to love and its black veins to grounding, so it is often described as both gentle and steadying. People like to keep it close during times of change, or hold it when they want to be more patient and kind towards themselves.
