Que Sera Stone
Physical Information
Que Sera is a trade name for a speckled, multi-mineral rock from Brazil. It is described as a mix of quartz (often blue quartz), feldspar, kaolinite, calcite and iron oxides. Together, these minerals create a colourful, freckled pattern of blue, grey, pink, cream and brown. The rock is of volcanic origin and looks a little like a speckled granite or rhyolite.
Que Sera is fairly hard and takes a good polish, so it is often sold as tumbled stones, palm stones and spheres. Every piece has its own mix of colours. Clean it with a soft, damp cloth and dry it well.
Metaphysical Properties
The name comes from the phrase "que será, será" – "whatever will be, will be". Fittingly, Que Sera is known as a stone of acceptance and trust. It is believed to help people let go of worry about the future and stay calm and positive. Many people use it when they feel stressed or stuck.
It is associated with the root chakra and the third eye chakra, as a stone that keeps you grounded while supporting your intuition. People often carry it in a pocket during busy times, or hold it in meditation when they want to trust the flow of life and make decisions with a clear, calm mind.
