Physical Information

Quantum Quattro is a trade name for a natural blend of several copper minerals in one stone. Its classic mix is chrysocolla, malachite, dioptase and shattuckite, often together with smoky quartz. The result is a colourful stone in deep green, turquoise and bright blue, sometimes with darker areas. Because the minerals combine in different ways, every piece has its own pattern.

The original material is known from Namibia and is quite rare. Similar-looking blends of chrysocolla and malachite are sometimes sold under the same name, so it is normal to see some variation. The copper minerals are fairly soft, so treat it with care. Keep it away from water, heat and chemicals, and clean it with a soft, dry cloth.
