Mookaite
Physical Information
Mookaite is a colourful Australian jasper. It shows warm, earthy colours such as red, mustard yellow, cream, burgundy, brown and purple, often mixed together in one piece. It is opaque and takes a smooth, bright polish, and every piece has its own pattern.
It is found in Western Australia and is named after Mooka Creek. Mookaite is a radiolarite: a rock formed from silica-rich sediment full of tiny fossil sea creatures called radiolaria, which later hardened into stone. It has a hardness of about 6.5–7 and is easy to care for.

Mookaite is known as a stone of adventure and vitality. It is believed to encourage grounding, flexibility and confidence when facing change. Many people use it to feel present, motivated and ready for new experiences.
It is associated with the root chakra and the solar plexus chakra. People like to keep it in a pocket during busy times, or place it at home when they want warm, steady energy and a stronger connection to the earth.
