Lodolite
Physical Information
Lodolite is clear quartz with colourful mineral inclusions inside. These inclusions are mostly chlorite, sometimes with feldspar or iron minerals. They form soft shapes in green, brown, red, white or cream that look like small gardens, landscapes or underwater scenes. For this reason it is also called Garden Quartz, Inclusion Quartz or Shamanic Dream Quartz. The inclusions were trapped while the quartz crystal was slowly growing.
Most lodolite on the market comes from Brazil. It has a hardness of about 7 on the Mohs scale, so it is durable. Polished spheres and domes are popular because they show the inner scenery best. Every piece is different, like a small world of its own.
Metaphysical Properties
Lodolite is known as a stone of inner journeys. It is believed to support meditation, calm reflection and a feeling of connection with nature. Many people like to gaze into a lodolite sphere to quiet the mind and let their thoughts settle. It is also used as a gentle stone for letting go of old worries.
It is associated with the crown chakra and is often said to bring balance to all the chakras. Many people keep lodolite on a meditation table, a bedside table or a desk, where they can look into it during quiet moments. It is also a thoughtful gift for dreamers and nature lovers.
