Kyanite Titanium Aura

1 min read

Physical Information

Kyanite Titanium Aura is natural kyanite that has been coated with titanium in a lab. The crystal is heated in a vacuum chamber, and a very thin layer of metal vapour bonds to its surface. This treatment gives the blades a bright, metallic rainbow shine in blue, purple, gold and pink. The colour is not natural, but the kyanite underneath is a real mineral.

Kyanite itself is an aluminium silicate that grows in long, flat, blade-like crystals. The blades split easily, and the coating can wear off with rubbing. Handle it gently, keep it away from harder crystals, and clean it only with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid salt, soaking in water and cleaning chemicals.

Metaphysical Properties

Kyanite is known as a stone of alignment, and many people feel the titanium coating adds a joyful, uplifting energy. It is believed to support calm, clarity and balance between all the chakras.

It is associated with the throat chakra and the third eye chakra. People use it to support honest communication, intuition and creative self-expression. Its bright colours also make it a popular decorative piece for a meditation space or desk.
