Golden Healer

Physical Information

Golden healer is quartz with a warm yellow to golden colour. The colour comes from a thin coating or inclusions of iron oxide, such as limonite, which covers or colours the clear quartz crystal. Some pieces are golden all over, others show golden patches or shadows inside the crystal.

It forms in hydrothermal veins, like other quartz crystals. Well-known sources include Arkansas in the USA and Brazil. It is hard (7 on the Mohs scale), but the golden surface coating can wear off with rough cleaning, so just rinse it gently and dry it with a soft cloth.

Metaphysical Properties

Golden healer is known as a stone of golden light. Despite its name, it is not a medical stone. It is believed to bring warm, uplifting energy and a feeling of inner peace. Many people use it for emotional balance, self-love and a fresh, positive start.

It is associated with the solar plexus chakra and the crown chakra. People often place it in a sunny spot at home, hold it during meditation, or keep it close when they want to feel more confident, calm and full of light.
