Clear Quartz

Physical Information

Clear Quartz is the pure, colourless form of quartz, made of silicon dioxide. It can be completely transparent like glass or slightly milky. Many pieces show natural inclusions, small clouds or inner cracks, which give each crystal its own character. It usually grows as six-sided crystals with a pointed tip.

Quartz is one of the most common minerals on Earth and is found worldwide, with well-known sources in Brazil, Madagascar, the United States and the Alps. It has a hardness of 7, so it is durable and easy to care for. People have used it for centuries in jewellery and carvings, and today its piezoelectric property is also used in watches and electronics.

Metaphysical Properties

Clear Quartz is often called the master crystal and is known as a stone of clarity. It is believed to amplify energy and intention, and to strengthen the energy of other crystals placed nearby. Many people use it in meditation and manifestation work to bring focus and a clear mind.
