Unakite
Unakite is easily recognized by its mottled mix of green and pink tones, created by a natural combination of minerals. Its distinctive appearance gives each piece a textured, earthy look that reflects its geological origins.
Because of its durability and attractive color contrast, Unakite is commonly used for polished stones, beads, carvings, and decorative objects. Each specimen shows a unique balance of colors formed through long-term geological processes.
✨ Fact & Fun Fact:
Unakite is a metamorphic rock composed mainly of green epidote, pink orthoclase feldspar, and quartz. It was first identified in the Unaka Mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee in the United States, which is where its name comes from. Although often sold as a gemstone, Unakite is technically a rock rather than a single mineral.
