Silver Obsidian Mala - 43cm
Silver Obsidian
Silver Obsidian is known for its deep black base with a soft, silvery sheen that appears when light reflects across its surface. This subtle glow creates a smooth, elegant effect, often showing layered or flowing patterns within the stone.
Because of its polished appearance and reflective quality, Silver Obsidian is commonly used for cabochons, beads, carvings, and decorative objects. Each piece displays a unique play of light depending on the angle and internal structure.
✨ Fact & Fun Fact:
Silver Obsidian is a type of volcanic glass formed from rapidly cooled lava. The silvery sheen is caused by microscopic gas bubbles or mineral inclusions aligned during the flow of molten material. Like all obsidian, it has a conchoidal fracture, producing very sharp edges, which is why it was used in ancient tools and blades.
