✨ Fact & Fun Fact:
Nephrite Jade is a variety of amphibole mineral, composed mainly of calcium magnesium silicate. Unlike jadeite, nephrite forms in metamorphic environments and has a fibrous interlocking structure, which makes it extremely tough (resistant to breaking). It has been used since prehistoric times for tools and weapons, especially in China, New Zealand, and North America. The name “nephrite” comes from the Greek nephros, meaning “kidney,” due to its historical association with kidney-shaped stones.
