African Turquoise
African Turquoise is known for its earthy blue-green tones mixed with brown, gray, and black matrix patterns. Its textured, natural look gives each piece a rustic and organic character, often resembling aged stone or weathered landscapes.
Because of its durability and distinctive color patterns, African Turquoise is commonly used for polished stones, beads, cabochons, and decorative items. Every piece is unique, shaped by complex natural mineral formations.
✨ Fact & Fun Fact:
Despite its name, African Turquoise is not true turquoise. It is a variety of jasper, a microcrystalline quartz (SiO₂). It is primarily sourced from Africa, especially regions such as Namibia and South Africa. The name is a trade term used because of its turquoise-like color.
