Sapphire

Sapphire

Physical Information

Sapphire is a variety of the mineral corundum, composed primarily of aluminum oxide.
While typically known for its deep blue colour, sapphires naturally occur in many shades, including pink, yellow, green, purple, and even colourless.
The blue hue forms from trace amounts of iron and titanium within the crystal structure.
Sapphire is one of the hardest minerals on Earth with a Mohs hardness of 9, making it exceptionally durable and highly valued in both jewellery and industry.
Major sources include Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Tanzania, Australia, and Kashmir — each location producing stones with distinct colours and clarity.

Metaphysical Properties

Sapphire is associated with mental clarity, intuition, and spiritual insight.
It supports focus, discipline, and calm thinking, making it ideal for study, decision-making, and meditation.
Blue Sapphire is especially linked to truth, wisdom, and clear communication.
Many use Sapphire to strengthen intuition, improve emotional balance, and connect with higher guidance while maintaining stability and inner calm.
