Sakura Agate

Sakura Agate

Physical Information

Sakura Agate (also known as Cherry Blossom Agate) is a beautiful variety of chalcedony featuring flower-like inclusions that resemble blooming cherry blossoms.
These unique “petal” shapes are formed by deposits of pink, white, or cream-colored minerals such as chalcedony, quartz, and feldspar growing within the stone.
Its colours range from soft pinks and peaches to translucent whites with gentle patterns that appear frozen inside the crystal.
Sakura Agate typically forms in volcanic rock cavities where mineral-rich solutions slowly crystallize over time.
With a Mohs hardness of 6.5–7, it is durable enough for jewelry, carvings, spheres, and palm stones.
Most Sakura Agate on the market comes from Madagascar, known for producing high-clarity and beautifully patterned pieces.
