Peruvian Rhodochrosite

Physical Information

Peruvian Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral found in the Andes region of Peru.
It is known for its soft pink tones, often with gentle banding or a translucent, pastel appearance. Unlike the deep red Argentinian variety, Peruvian Rhodochrosite forms in lighter, more delicate pink layers due to variations in manganese and calcium content.
With a hardness of 3.5–4, it is a softer stone that requires careful handling. It develops naturally in hydrothermal veins and mineral-rich deposits.

Metaphysical Properties

Peruvian Rhodochrosite is associated with emotional healing, compassion, and self-love. It helps release old wounds, encourages forgiveness, and supports opening the heart to positive experiences. Often used for emotional balance, inner peace, and nurturing one’s sense of worth and joy.
